Ok well I live in this city that has a river running through it. One side is the West Side and the other the East. The west is really bad. But I live in this community thats good on the west side. Every other community is bad. And then in a year i have to go to school on the east side and my dad has to work there but they still think that we should stay in this community. But this community has a half-way house. Anyways any reason why we should move? I need to convince my family.

Home is where you make it and the family also needs to be considerate of the person "bringing home the bacon". Housing costs may be a factor for your family wanting to stay put but they do not want to talk to you about that.
I'd say don't push too hard - they may be doing the best they can with what they have. Try to be supportive.
