its my sisters birthday today and
i've been wanting a newborn cabbage patch baby for like ever and my sister only wanted one cause i did! I know this may sound selfish so dont answer meanly, but how is a way to talk my mom into letting ME have it since my sister will just ruin it?

Ask her reeeally nicely and if she says no, plead. Unashamedly.

Maybe your mother knows you want one too ever think of that. be patient xmas and your birthday will come around. In the mean time hinting to mom can't hurt either. Make a big fuss on how badly you'd love to have one. But be happy for your sister . Your time will come.

There's no way your mom would understand that! She would just scold you for acting so selfish.
There are two things you can do:
1. Talk her into getting your sis something else (and when your birthday comes up, ask for the toy)
2. Tell her you would like one of those dolls too, and get her to take you with her when she goes to get your sis her present, so you can get one too.
Or if your sis already has the doll:
Talk to your mom about how you've always wanted the doll and get her to get you one for your birthday!

Sway your Mom into buying your sister something else and then beg for the newborn CPK on your Bday.

okay it sounds like you are jealous of your sister and that is not becoming. Christmas is a short ways away so you can hint about it to your mom and be happy for your sister. Friends come and go but Sisters are forever........... Love her and be kind to her.

Tell her to get her own Doll and to stop copying you tell her that you want something really dumb and when she gets her new b-day money she will go out and buy it and forget all about the doll and then she wont copy you anymore

i would just tell my mother just what you told us or you could just tell your mom to buy one for you too and that way she won't have to bother with buying you one too
