I'm a very prideful person, I'll admit it.

It's probably because of this the problem was caused. My friend and I were playing a game of chess, and when I won, her ego was crushed. She's a chess champion. She got angry at me, and I was so confused. She kicked me out of her house, and her mother told me that this had never happened to her before, so I needed to get used to it.

I mean- do you think I should have let her won? I'm not naturally good at chess, I think. But the chess move I beat her with, I learned after years of researching on chess. That's all. What do I do? I don't think I have anything to apologize for, but she's one of my best friends.

Woah. She kicked you out just because you won a game of chess against her? Honestly, she needs to figure out that just because you're a chess champion, there will always be someone out there who is better than you. But anyways, no, I don't think you should have just let her win. Just let her calm down, and eventually you and her will start talking again and be friends again. Don't bring up the chess thing again and when you guys are friends again, I would probably not recommend playing against her at chess again.

Wow, your friend is extremely immature. What it sounds like to me is that she has very low self esteem, so she uses an ability she has to cover up her problems. Since you proved to her that she's not better than everyone else, she got mad. I think that you did nothing wrong, and SHE should be the one to apologize, you have done nothing wrong to feel sorry.

You won the game, don't worry about it, sounds like she is a very poor sport and does not like to lose. I don't like to lose, but hey if I do, I do. You found out the true her.

Don't worry about it. Women are weird.

They get angry for no particular reason. If you're dating her, just find a way to give her a hug.

Or tell her you researched it a bunch.

No, I guess SHE is the one that needs to grow up. Call her one time, and if she responds and says sorry, then she is worthy of being called a freind. If she dosnt, she was never a freind

You have nothing to apologize for. You could have let her win, but why would you do that? She is the poor loser here, she needs to apologize to you.
