Well, when I was pregnant we waited until the end of the first trimester. Most people do this because before the end of the first trimester there is a higher chance of losing the baby. If you have had a history of miscarriages or if they run in your family, I would wait until the end of the 1st trimester. If this is your first or youve already had a child then I would just wait until after the OB/GYN confirms the pregnancy (as opposed to a home test) and then I would share the news. I know its hard to bottle it up sometimes, you just want to be sure that it's healthy because the bad thing is telling everyone you're pregnant and then having a miscarriage, it only adds to the grief. God bless your little bundle!

I announced it to my family first when I was 7 weeks pregnant.
It was harder to hide it from my co-workers though because I was, and still am, terribly sick with morning sickness; but it occured all day long and I would sometimes vomit in the parking lot after I ate lunch. I experienced all the symptoms to the max and people started to ask me if I was pregnant. I was going to wait until I was 3 or 4 months to tell my co-workers and friends, but I had to at the same time I told my family because of this.
I also heard that you could jinx it if you didn't wait until you were 3 or 4 months because that it the time that you have the highest probability of a miscarriage occuring.

It is entirely up to you and the father when you announce your pregnancy. Before the means to determine pregnancy was so accurate a lot of people waited several months just to be absolutely sure. With today's tech. we can know positively in just a matter of a few hours.

If you have had trouble with pregnancies in the past...maybe waiting until 12 weeks would be good. I know that I wouldn't be able to wait that long...I told close family and friends at 6 weeks.

i told everyone as soon as i found out, but people told me to tell after the first trimester because it is the most critical of when you can miscarry, but i was too excited i couldn't wait to tell everyone.
