I have friends who are are in an inter-racial marriage and it seems like they always get funny looks.

In most cases I'd agree with the other people who responded but there is one more point that no one has mentioned.
Some people worry about how the children of these relationships will be treated since they are not completely of either race and are often not accepted by either side.
It's sad but too many people are still racist.

Inter-racial relationships are taught to be taboo. I'm a product of an inter-racial marriage, people always ask What are you. the good news is that more and more people are crossing the taboo line and marring outside their race...soon we'll be a country of one race of many

I think that it has to do with how they are raised. If a person was raised with racist parents then they will look down upon an inter-racial relationship. If a person has been raised with open minded parents then they are more likely not to look down upon one.

Yep, strike one up for the Hispanics. you understand you adore us. Gangster??? i ask your self if human beings think of i became ever component of a gang. besides i will style of relate to what you're saying. My spouse is white and that i'm Hispanic. I had to pay attention lots of "harmless" jokes and comments from her mom for years. Then her mom might tel my spouse's grandparent's that i became a depressing skinned Italian. do not hassle approximately race. If it is real you would understand. do not positioned up with any crap from men. As I consistently say, there'll ultimately be somewhat brown in each and every physique. And stable looking too. HeeHee!!

That's the nature of the beast in this society. You have to figure that a third of those people are jealous, another third are admiring, and the last third are bigots. The first two thirds are positive and on your side, and who gives a damn about the last bunch?

Some people just have no sense and other people feel like a certain race should stick to their own kind. If they arent worried about it dont worry yourself.

they don't like something they cannot begin to understand.
some people do not like what they cannot control!!!!!! my mother married a man of color and her family went balistic, but it did not stop my mom from loving him. his family wre the same way intil they got to know my mom. there is no rhym or reason for anyone to judge what others do but it will not stop others from looking and judging.
