Fergie or Benitez
Jose Mourinho cannot be as you'd have to be a special kind of numb-nut to do poorly with all of the money behind you.
Fergie has not bought anyone but Carrick this year - and Man Utd are at the top of the league. His team has consistently been at the top of the league for so many years - you can hardly compare any of these newcomers to what he has achieved.
Benitez has done well with the team he inherited going on to win in Europe and score very highly here in Premiership.
Both stars!

I am a big fan of Rafa Benitez because of what he has achieved in Europe but a bit disappointed with the poor showing back home. There is a big difference in the game played in Europe and in the premiership.
The one person who has done well on both levels is Arsene Wenger. And having read a bit about what Lee Dixon and some other have had to say about him, sounds like he's a fair and good bloke overall in addition to being a master tactician and great motivator for his players.
My vote goes to Wenger.

You have to take into account what managers do with the resources they have, and how they deal with the challengers. As such, I can't see Ferguson or Mourinho as the best. Wenger is brilliant at getting value for money in the transfer market (see how much he spent on Anelka, Henry etc.), but in terms of success without huge resources, I would have said Sam Allardyce, who is also a bit cute in the transfer market. Martin O'Neill also seems to get the best out of players, and current form would say Paul Jewell and Steve Coppell look pretty good as well.

I would have to say paul jewell, im a man u supporter but come on, he brought a crap team into the premiership. Look at the enthusiasm he has in every game, as the guys on the telly said, he wears hs heart on his shirt sleeve(or something like that). For me, he has to be one of THE best, other then that, sir Ferguson, trophies, money, players, brains !!!

for me i really feel that its arsene wenger trying not to be biased he seems steps ahead of other managers allways planning ahead hes a great talent spotter he knows how to get the best out of his players he knows how to get the best from the money hes got and wont be robbed he knows when to sell players he has great morals not a hint of corruption in him hes got a great attitude and is very loyal ,what hes built from nothing near man u or chelseas budget is amazing record speaks for itself,on the other hand hate to say it but jose mourinho does definately do the buissness the man does his homework and is a student of the game definately gets the best out of his players i mean taking a team to win the uefa cup and the champions league with the same team is a major achievement.

tremendous to work out that there are different human beings that play football manager! if you're going to play contained in the decrease leagues I recommend 4-4-2 with pacey wingers and strikers and massive good defenders. i'd strongly recommend hostile to 4-3-3 till you're in a suitable league or have infinite funds like quite a few different answerer because the shortcoming of wingers leaves your complete backs uncovered. participant roles: GK - Goalkeeper (D) FBs - complete again (automatic) CBs - i like a BPD (C) and a CD (X) Wingers - Winger (S) STs - i like a TM (S) and a P (A) Set products: target close to submit together with your tallest/perfect headerer attacking close to submit. crew training: guy to guy marking, counter attack. in spite of the indisputable fact that I easily have had important fulfillment taking section in with a 4-2-3-a million Goalkeeper - See above tactic Defenders - See above tactic Midfielders - BWM (D) and a DLP (S) Attacking Midfielders W (A) x2 and an AP (S) Striker P (A) same set products as above. crew training: Fluid type set to regulate. I understand that Wenger is very keen on developing his youth policy!
The manager who gets the best out of his team and his players is Martin O'Neill.
