Saw an ad on a bulletin board ay work about someone selling real cabbits.

The reason people believe in cabbits is simple. They have been somewhere where they see an animal that looks like it could be a cross between a rabbit and a cat, and start searching the web for this type of animal. There are now several websites out there dedicated to the mysterious "cabbit". What these people never take the time to do, is ask the person who's with the animal what the animal is. More often than not, what they're looking at is a relatively new breed of rabbit called the Lionhead rabbit. Given it's name for the mane of fur around it's head, it looks like a lion with rabbit legs. Being a breeder of lionheads, I do know that they most certainly do not come from mixing a cat and a rabbit, but I have gotten asked many times about them for that exact reason. Unfortunately, people this day in age just don't take the time to think things through and ask questions. Instead they trust the web as an infinite volume of information that can be trusted completely for accuracy.

There has been a species called "Cama," a Camel and Llama cross. But since these two share a common ancestor, it worked out. Cat's and rabbits are too far removed from each other to create a viable animal.
It would be fun though.

Who knows? It's not even physically possible, because the sperm and egg of different species don't mix. And if it was possible, they would most likely die before they were a week old. It's not like you see human/canine mutant species or feline/rodents mutant species running around.
