i got a diaper genie when my son was born.. and i realized that within the past week, it hasnt been working that well at all.... i guess i just need a REALLY good odor control remover and i've tried glade, oust, febreeze, lysol, febreeze air effects, and i think thats about it.. i spray it with oust and lysol to kill the germs every day and i wash the inside with bleach at least once a week.. but it doesnt seem to help at all.. his room just smells like a diaper. it worked great when we first got it up until now.. and yes, i am using stage 2.. they should make a stage 3. so yea.. hes 19 months old, so i dont really want to buy something new because i'm not planning on having any more kids.

so, any suggestions on stuff that DOESNT cover it up but REMOVES THE ODORS IN THE AIR.

LYSOL NUTRA AIR- I've got 4 indoor cats (and we all know there's nothing worst than cat pee). This really works. You would never know that I have them in the house. If this works for me, it should help you.

Try tea tree oil. It is a natural antiseptic and leaves a fresh smell. I have a relative who works in a nursing home and she said it is effective in removing urine smells. It is concentrated so read instructions before using.Good luck.

Do you open the windows and curtains during the day? Some of the odor might be in his mattress which should be put out in the sun to freshen.
