Yes often. You get attached to these people, follow their careers and such. So it's like losing a family member. When Sammy Davis Jr and Jim Hensen died days apart, I thought I would never stop crying. Then they aired the funerals on tv. OMG! Big Bird speaking at a funeral? How sad was that? Then they were deciding to kill off some of the Sesame Street characters because no one could do the voices very well, until Hansen's son stepped in and said he do it. He saved Kermit! With Sammy Davis, all of the people who spoke at his funeral. Gregory Hines was too choked up and instead tapped to Candy Man and Mr. Bojangles for Sammy.

Only Steve Irwin. I mourned for the world's greatest animal supporter and did impressions (I am a comedian) of him for 2 weeks straight. In memorial, I am going to be him for halloween. When I was little I wanted to be like Steve Irwin and help the animals. I wanted to meet him. He really, truly, inspired me. I was sooooooooo sad when he died. I was so devastated. I was sleepy that day when I was on My! Yahoo and then all of a sudden I saw a news flash about him. I let it pass, without really reading it. Then I clicked on it to fully read it, when I was more awake, and I can't tell you how shocked I was to see "Steve Irwin, Dead at 44". I could not believe that such a courageous man, with such a good heart, who, as The Wzard of Oz would say "Back where I come from we have men who do nothing but good deeds. They are called, uh, uh, good deed doers!" That was Steve Irwin. I still can't believe he's dead. He was such an influence on my life, to love and care for animals.

Yes. Not because I personally knew these people, but because they play a large part in the background of your life. You see their images on screen, you hear their music on the radio. You become used to them. You also know they are human and have family and friends that love them and will miss and grieve for them. I would be a cold hearted person not to cry. The list is long. But I cried for John Kennedy Jr., and Judy Garland, and Princess Diana.

YES!

I cried when I heard that Linda McCartney died.
I was crying my eyeballs out when I watched documetary on John Lennon, I do cry sometimes when I read his biography.
I was divastated and cried a lot when George Harrison died. I just couldn't believe it. I was at school at the time I heard the news, I just broke down right there at my desk, everybody thought it was wierd. It was very sad, very sad.

I almost cried when I heard that Steve Irvin died in that freak accident with a stingray. It seemed so unreal, that he could be filming his new show and be gone just like that. It was really painfull to read that one of his film crew actually filmed him taking the barb out of his chest. :(

no words.

When I watched a documentary on John Lennon, I did cry at the end. I wasn't even a month old yet when it actually happened, but it was a cruel twist of fate how someone so remarkable was taken from us so soon. We sure could have used some of his insight for our current times, that's for sure.

Only once when the Crocodile Hunter's daughter bravely gave a statement about her father publicly. That was touching. Oh yes, twice. When Simon Weisenthal ( The Nazi Hunter) passed away. He was a great man who lived through hell and lived the remainder of his life to bring many to justice.

I have. I was listening to Monday Night Football when Howard Coselle announced that John Lennon was shot and killed. I cried then, and I cried when Ronald Regan died. And for some of the young people, he was an actor before president.
