I assume you're talking about this season, so it would have to be Peyton Manning. Carson Palmer is playing great, although he is about to lose to the Patriots who haven't been playing their best this year. Peyton is the only QB in the NFL trusted to call pretty much any play he wants at the line of scrimmage and has consistently gotten the Colts to the Playoffs. As for the others, Donovan McNabb is good, but aging. Mike Vick is one of the fastest players in the NFL, which causes a lot of trouble for opposing defenses, but he's not a smart QB. Eli is playing pretty well but he's nowhere near his brother yet. Pennington is also playing extremely well this year, but still isn't at Peyton's level. Favre, he should've retired last year but he loves the game too much. He's certainly past his prime. Drew Brees is also playing very well but isn't hall of fame material like Peyton. Tom Brady, arguably with the best carreer of the candidates, (i'd place him and Favre at the top, with Peyton below due to the lack of a championship), hasn't been playing as well this year. Granted, his receivers aren't up to the caliber that the Patriots used to have, but part of what makes a QB great is his team. So, I pick Peyton Manning.

That's a tough one, but I would have to go with Favre or Brady
because of their accomplishments so far, with honorable
mention to Peyton Manning. On career to date, it would be
Favre, followed by Brady or Manning.

Peyton Manning. Super Bowls don't mean jack. That's won by a team, not the individual. Same reason Marino is the best, not Joe Montana.
