The only time I did not wear mine is when I was working with machinary. Did not want to loose a finger.

I'm not married yet :) but I would feel insulted if my husband did not wear his wedding ring which is a symbolism of our love, and it also indicates to other women that he is taken lol. If he did not wear it I would take it offensively, I would start thinking maybe he's ashame, or trying to make it seem as if he is 'available.' Eitherway, I would not want a man who will not wear his ring. I would keep mine on all the time (b/c it's beautiful) and also because he placed it on my finger during our wedding. It's special. It signifies much more than just a ring.

I always wear my gold band, but not always the engagement ring. If I'm doing something dirty with my hands, like gardening, I'll take off the diamond ring so it doesn't get caked with mud. I'm proud to be married and guess I want everyone to know, plus my finger feels naked without a ring on.
My husband wears his every day now, but he used to only wear it on weekends because of his job. He worked as a machinist. If his ring were to get caught on something in the milling machine, he could have lost his finger or worse. He's a sub-contractor for flooring now, so there's not too much danger there.

I used to wear my ring all the time. My husband does not. He says it's uncomfortable and also because of his work. We've been married for many years and like most couples have our ups and downs. I haven't worn my ring or my 10yr anniversary band for a couple of years. I don't think he's ever noticed. I guess we're in a down time and it just doesn't mean as much to me as it once did. Pretty sad. Maybe things will soon change

I use to, but havent in about 5 years now. My body is strange, in the summer, my hands swell and the ring cuts the circulation off until my finger has a bluish tint. The same ring in the winter months is loose and falls off easily. I act married and if approached I tell them I am married. So the ring really is useless. Its just a symbol, plain and simple.

I wear my ring 24/7 because I rarely notice it is there. My husband does not own a wedding ring and will wear one if I insist but I don't. We know we are married.

I don't wear one, I am very open about the fact that I'm married.
Rings are the cause of many work related accidents, my friend had his finger almost ripped off.
My wife just wears one at work just to make the statement that she is married.
However it should be a consensual thing, If my wife was not comfortable with me not wearing it, then I would.

My husband never removes his...I don't think he even can anymore! I don't wear my engagement ring around the house (I lost one of the larger stones once while doing laundry and had to replace it), but I never remove my wedding band. It's just part of us and always has been for 19 years...20 in November!

No. I wear mine all the time, because I like to, but my husband doesn't because his hands/fingers swell at will. But he usually does wear it when we go out...I thought it would bother me when we first got married, but it's just a symbol....and not truly important. And we have been married 17 yrs.....

I don't wear mine. I don't because I work in a foundry, and it would be ruined. It also would be dangerous to wear ANY rings. It can cost fingers. But, I don't cheat, work only with men, and never act "available".
