The Yankees will win this year.
They have the best record in baseball.
They have an all-star lineup & now that Godzilla and Sheff
are back they'll be unstoppable!
A-Rod is a slugger once again and Jeter is always on.
Abreu, Williams, Posada, Damon, Giambi and even Cairo are all
great at both offense and defense.
Robinson Cano gets the base hits needed to pull the team ahead.
Melky Cabrera is a superstar on a team of superstars.
Pitching staff is up to par with Mussina, the big Unit, Wang, Proctor, Farnsworth, Dotel and Villone, among others.
Mariano Rivera is definitely THE BEST closer!
And by the way : Yankees are my favorite team!
Can you tell?

my heart is with the twins, for all the reasons K soze here says and then some, they also have heart, spirit, and a will to win, plus they have chemistry, and no one with a big head on their team, you have a whole lot of minor leaguers playing their hearts out and having to face big money out their and want to make a name for themselves as well, i know only the true knowledgeable sports people out there even have a clue of this, most never even watch anyone other then their own team, check the stats this year and it all speaks for itself, see just how well they did against the toughest teams in baseball this year, they also have home field advantage and that dome is always good for a run here or there, and a tough bullpen, --------------------but you know what? i am going out on a limb here and pick the cards.........as must as i know and love those twinkies i feel me might choke.

Your question is pointless even by your own words "Please don't tell me your favorite team or a team that is not even playing" Playoffs wont be totally decided until today! How can we pick a winner (which suggest you feel someone here psychic) without even knowing who's playing!?
