I once heard that there may be as many as 10% of women in US get raped. and with many of the case not reported.
Did I get it wrong ?

Please don't get offended, I just want to verfiy what I heard.

Every two and a half minutes, somewhere in America, someone is sexually assaulted.
One in six American women has been the victim of an attempted or completed rape, and 10% of sexual assault victims are men.
In 2003-2004, there were an average annual 204,370 victims of rape, attempted rape or sexual assault.
About 44% of rape victims are under age 18, and 80% are under age 30.
Since 1993, rape/sexual assault has fallen by over 64%.

I think the statistics are not accurate. Women that are raped often times do not want to come forward because of the shame, and many times they feel some how they are to blame. There is also a new drug that is being used, Date Rape Drug, and I have known more than I care to acknowledge women that have been a victim of this drug. Their stories seem to have a common theme - flashes of memory, but not enough to convince them that what is happening is real. A shame that in some way they set themselves up for this to happen. Sad commentary of our times.

i don't understand, i've got in no way been raped as a guy or a woman. Male rape does have the stigma of being considered as "humorous" to three human beings, so there is that, yet so a ways because it being worse than woman rape, i only can't see it. yet I haven't any concept and that i'm not likely to be stupid adequate to declare it the two way.

It is no where near 10% of all women are raped and the rate has been on a declining trend for a while as the it is believed that the likelihoond of such a crime of rape is more likely to be reported.
