I love this show, and I love trying to figure out the weird connections the writers have put into the story. For example, the Darma Initiative has a real website. Also, the fact that Jack's last name is Shepard and he is like the shepard of all the people on the island. Have any more?

Yah Darma was set up by ABC. They own it and stuff and is used for Lost the Experience, a web quest that is going on to keep people interested in Lost. It has no relation to the show directly and doesn't give the players any extra insite. I played along at the beginning but the people in it got really into it and I couldn't keep up because those people do nothing at work but sit there and follow it. I on the other hand was on the computer about an hour a day so I lost interest. Thats an interesting therey about his name but I know that Jack was supposed to die in the first episode so I'm not sure if thats what they had mind. (They the writeres ditched that idea after letting a small group of people read the script and everyone took an attachment to him and didn't want him to die). I do find it interesting that on Grey's Anatomy there is a Dr. Shepard. and he is one of the main male character. Most likly no connection just find it interesting. Um I heard a theory somewhere (and it is my favorite one so far) that lost could stand for Land Of Scienctific Testing. I like that one the best so far out of all the ones I've come up with and heard.

The Darma iniative website is a fake made by the people who write the show. It's a great show, can't wait to see what happens this season.
