i am black and have ver thick curly hair and i straighten it with a flat iron and some syrum in a pink bottle. the syrum was made for people with thin hair but it works okay for me.
i went to a store that sells black proudcts, and i saw pressing wax in a small case...will this work better?

I've heard some people do find it useful but nowadays they have much more sophisticated things than that, good luck...

I would stay away from the wax. I know my friend used it and she had a real problem getting the wax out of her hair. After washing it three times which cause her hair to get drier...She still had issues with it in her hair. I don't know if that is just a rare case or if it's hard to get out. It took us about a week to get it out of her hair.
Try re posting this in the hair category there are some hair people over there.
