Maltese are sure cute and friendly little creatures. Javanese are nice too, but more unusual.

aww i dont know thats hard! i have a maltese and shes wonderful. yorkies seem like they would be great too tho! personally i like golden retrievers.... i think theyre the best =]

Better for what? better pet? I'm sure each breed will get some votes. Meet several dogs of each breed before you make your decision, and make sure you get your puppy from a reputable dog breeder or rescue. Don't fall for the pet store trap - small cute dogs such as these are common victims of impulse buyers and puppymillers who just want to make a quick buck. Get your puppy from someone who will offer a health guarantee or save a dog by going through rescue.

Yorkies are sweet tempered and lovable dogs. Malties im not really sure about because I dont have one. But yorkies are the best but really small so be careful of them!!
