A friend of mine is moving to L.A. in a few months and my boyfriend wants to make her a mix cd of a bunch of songs about L.A. and California. Our list is pretty short right now so could anyone help me out by naming some really good songs. We're looking for punk, metal, rock, alternative or classic rock. Please no Beach Boys, Doors or Eagles.

California by Lenny Kravitz (Not my favorite song, but I'm more into punk, so it could work for you)

LA Woman by Billy Idol (Billy Idol... Mmm... Hehe, just kidding- sort of).
California Uber Alles by The Dead Kennedys (I like 'em, but they're a bit intense)
California Sun by The Ramones (There are about a billion versions of this by different artists, so if you don't like the Ramones, there are other options)
