There's this stuff called Approach you can get for cheap online. It is water-based and has no harsh chemicals so it won't ruin anything in the case. Just spray it all over and let it get into the wood and then let it dry and it should eliminate everything nicely. Just make sure you spray the whole surface well.

Good luck!

I got a couple. 1.) Go to your local harware in the section where they sell your carpet cleaning solutions for carpet cleaning machines. You should see a solution that as it dries it kills the odor. These solutions a re usually the ones for cat spray and urine. Spray a minimal amount on, you do not want to lift the luan, and leave it open to the air to dry. 2.) Theres a aerosol product called Oust, right next to Febreeze, try one. 3.) A little old school trick break three charcoal briquettes into powder and put it in a container, set the container in the box and after a week or so the odor will be gone. 4.) Use the same technique using bakling soda

Good Luck!

If it is finished at all and is clear (not painted), just use standard shellac. When you buy it, buy some thinner and thin it out about 30 %. Put on with a brush, it will dry in an hour and nothing will stink for a while except for the alcohol in the shellac. Do not paint it, do not use vinegar, but if it is clear (and that can include stain and a varnish finish), you can recoat it with varnish the next day.

You might find two products in the shellac shelves:

White Shellac, which will have a clear orange coloration to it, that is what you want to buy if the surface is clear or stained.

White Pigmented Shellac, which is white in color which you can use if the surface has been painted.

Only buy Shellac, do not buy Kilz or competitive products to it.

First of al Luan is not really a Plywood...It is more of a paper, glue and saw dust product...but to tell you the answer you need to seal the material with a paint or a varish/ploy....this traps the odor of the material in ....for best resust you need to paint all sides and edges...good luck

Some odors are practically impossible to eliminate and wood treatment chemicals are one of them. that may be it.
