Libs keep posting about Bush's 'illegal' war. What is illegal about it? Don't waste your breath with "he lied" and "its about oil"--those are your opinions. How is this illegal? We all know he had bad intel just like the congress who approved this action. I want tanigble proof-(not unlike DNA, which proved Clinton a liar) proving your assertions.

18 hours and still no answers. Lets clarify some things as well:
The UN Charter allows nations to take military action with Security Council approval as an explicit enforcement action. There was no U.N. vote to approve the French war in Algeria or the Vietnam War or the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan or the British war with Argentina over the Faulkland Islands or, most recently, the NATO war in Kosovo.
The 3rd para of UN Resolution 1441 states: "Recognizing the threat Iraq’s non-compliance with Council resolutions and proliferation of weapons of mass destruction and long-range missiles poses to international peace and security- the UN Congress and President Bush all felt that Iraq possessed "WMD". How Bush is being accused of waging an illegal war when he was given the approval of Congress to do so, unlike Clinton who launched "wars" in Haiti, Bosnia, and Kosovo without Congressional approval under the auspice of NATO without UN approval?

In other words, it was not illegal for Clinton to wage pre-emptive wars without Congressional approval but it is illegal for President Bush to go to war with the approval of Congress? 'Magin that!

Well until Congress declares War, we are technically not at war. I think the term "illegal" is used because many folks feel that the unprovoked invasion of another sovereign nation is not really something the rest of the world sanctions. Of course I don't know that you could categorically prove that it is "illegal".
As for the bad intel...well I think we all know that the intel was molded to fit the story required to sell the invasion of Iraq to the American people. We can pretend otherwise, but the truth remains.

It's not an "illegal war" - that's just one of the many catchphrases tossed off so blithely by the Weak Sisters; their purpose is to mislead the ignorant and uninformed into repeating these phrases until they take on a life of their own.
And, to a large extent, they've succeeded in that they've always got the mainstream media (the same media they think is tilted to the right!) to carry their message for them - even if it's only out of the mouths of morons like Bobbie Boxer.
Funny how, despite the lowest-common-denominator tactics, they keep losing major elections, isn't it?

It is illegal to go to war without the approval of the UN, and they did not approve.

You're freaking KIDDING ME with this ignorant question, aren't you?! It really is true about the ignorance and the inability to accept responsibility of the radical right! All the Re(tard)publicans have to do is deny, and that makes everything just dandy!!
You know, there is no use speaking to Re(tard)publicans, because they spend all their time burying themselves in the U.S. flag, and hiding their heads in the sand!! Nothing that Progressives tell you is going to make any difference to you, because you and your ilk lie and make phony excuses FOR EVERYTHING!!! So you just go ahead and believe anything you want--you are NOT WORTH "WASTING MY BREATH" about ANYTHING!!! The voters will gladly show you and the rest of your idiots THE DOOR this November!!!

It is illegal under international law for any country to invade another with the sole purpose of deposing the government of that country.
The US administration said they would only recognise international law if their military was exempted from prosecution.
Wonder why that was?

Unprovoked, aggressive war was declared unlawful by the Allies at Nuremberg in 1946. It was one of the war crimes charges against the Nazis.

Liberals do not believe in the autonomy of the US. They believe that we report to and must follow what other countries say.
You can really call a liberal on their propaganda when you ask them to explain what they mean. Good luck on having the question answered. The liberals will change the subject and use name calling instead of addressing your question.
