Yes, they are a great little laptop. A friend of mine has one and loves it. He goes on the internet all the time. I have the Inspiron and it's great as well.
If you are thinking of purchasing a Dell computer online, first go to and sign up for www.ebates.com. Once you've signed up type in Dell for the search, it will bring up a link click on the link, wait for it to load the Dell website and purchase your computer through this link. By doing this you will get a rebate check from ebates for 2% of your purchase. They send the checks out once every 3 months as long as it is a minimum of $5.00 for combined rebates.
I've gotten nearly $500 from this site in rebates alone! You can shop through many stores, Staples, Office Depot, Disney Store, Dell, HP, Neiman Marcus, Nordstroms, QVC, HSN, 1-800-FLOWERS, etc. Might as well take advantage of rebates and get a little something back!

Hi, First off, dont listen to the dude talking about the dell batteries catching fire, it is NOT just dell laptops. The Batteries are manufactured by another company and sold to Dell, Toshiba, Sony, HP and MANY others. I have had a Dell Latitude D610 personally for for 2 years and I stand by them. My employer buys nothign but DELL Laptops and desktops and we stand by them as well. I am in the IT department and I support these machines all the time and hardware wise these machines are VERY stable. If anyone has a problem with a Dell Latitude, it is the Windows OS, not the machine itself.

There are no true wireless computers. To use the internet while away from phone lines, you have to use wi-fi, which may be free at some places, or pay as you go.

Why would they be any better or any worse than any other laptop?
After all if they were worse, no one would buy them.
