I looked up "clkoptimizer" on PC Tools' website. PC Tools is the maker of Spyware Doctor. Their site has the following information: (http://www.pctools.com/mrc/infections/id/ClkOptimizer/)

Description: ClkOptimizer hooks onto other processes on the system and generates popups from www.clkoptimizer.com.

Type: Trojan

Naturally, they say the solution is to use Spyware Doctor to remove it. However, since it is a Trojan horse, I recommend using either Ewido Anti-Spyware and/ or a squared Free both a top notched Trojan removers. Since you added question to Yahoo! Answers, I assume you have access to the Internet through another computer. Using that computer, download the software program(s) and install it on your computer. You can download the respective products at:

1. Ewido (http://www.ewido.net/en/)
2. a squared (http://www.emsisoft.com/en/software/free/)

As for your problem of accidentally removing Internet Explorer (IE), make sure that is the case. Do the following: Start Menu > Run > type "iexplorer" (without the quotation marks). This should launch IE. If it doesn't then "yes" it was removed. Unfortunately, the IE program is on the Windows OS installation CD. Do you know someone who can lend you the disk? You are not stealing their Windows license key but using the CD to install IE. Otherwise, you can download it from (http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/ie6/default.mspx)

BTW, while I was search for info on clkoptimizer, i came across a website with instructions on how to manually delete the program. You can find the article at: http://forums.spywareinfo.com/index.php?showtopic=56115

It is a good article but you still need to use a freeware called "HijackThis." You can download it at: http://www.filehippo.com/download_hijackthis/

Just take a few baking soda, combine it with an excessively small quantity of vinegar to make a paste, after which placed it at the carpet with an historical toothbrush. Allow it to dry, then vacuum. If the stain is relatively eliminated or lightened up, repeat once more. Or small quantity of Swarfega or WD-forty. Worth trying out an excessively small quantity of those matters to peer what works nice. Have additionally heard of the brown paper and iron system.
