Yes i've heard of that kind of thing, its an alternative to putting your animals into a boarding kennels/cattery, the upside is that your animal stays where it feels safe so it stresses less, downside is that having a stranger come into the house everyday could stress them just as much, plus someone that drops by for 5 minutes a day wont notice any changes in your animals behaviour if it starts to become unwell like it would in a kennels/cattery. The better places (like the one my wife owns - which i obviously wont name - im not advertising our business here) have trained staff that can spot problems early, its in the owners interests to provide peoples animals with the best care they can, at the end of the day you get into that business because you're into animals so you look after other peoples animals the way you'd want your own looking after if you put it into someone elses care. Thats not so say that having someone visit your home every day is a bad thing just maybe not the best way to go about caring for your pets.

Very enterprising I think, there's lots of people who work full time and have pets and could do with someone to look after them.

Yeah it's for when you go on holiday or if your bed bound or something, a person makes sure your pet is doing ok.
