I got married about 18 months ago...we never had good pictures taken. I love my dress and would love to see it in pictures. Would it be weird for me and my husband to get dressed up like it was our wedding day again and take pictures now?

Just do it. Who cares if someone else thinks it is weird. I would even call the bestman and bridesmais and ask them to jump in

It would definitely not be weird for the two of you to get dressed up again like it was your wedding day. Your wedding is a wonderful event and you should have some good pictures as memorabilia of that day. My husband & I had our pictures of our wedding taken 10 years after we were married. It is up to each couple what they chose to do so don't worry about what anyone else will think that's not the opinion that is important...... it's yours & your husband's. It's your life.

Not if you asked my mother that question (She's now 92)

It was thick fog on at the beginning of December in the 1930's when my parents married. It was so thick that it was impossible to take any proper pictures. Six months later, with my eldest brother on the way, they finally got dressed up again for the wedding picture!

Good luck - you may feel a little self conscious now but you won't regret it in the long run.

No..I mean it wouldn't be the same if actually taken on your wedding day, but it would be so cute if you guys got dressed up again and took a trip down memory lane. If you wanna see your dress in pictures, do it for you and for the heck of it.

There are people who do that after celebrating 25 years of marriage and no one thinks that's weird. The good thing about it now is that you have time to pick a really good spot, maybe somewhere outdoors, with a great background. And with digital cameras so prevalent, you can have really great pictures taken, and send them to all your friends & relatives over the net, saving lots of money on a photographer. Go for it! And congrats on your marriage. <*)))><

Not weird at all, go for it while your dress is still in good condition and you and your husband are still about the same age as when you were married. Who knows, you could also pretend like it's your honeymoon again!

no way would it be weird. your wedding day is special, and you should have good pictures of it no matter how many attempts it takes. it is better though to have them done the day of the wedding but I don't think it would be weird for you to dress up and get them re-done.

No not at all. Have you ever watch court tv where a couple sues the photograher for a bad job at their wedding? Ive seen the judge order the photographer to re-take the pictures at his or her expense. I'm sure you won't be the first to do this.

It wouldn't be weird at all! it's totally normal to want to remember the day, and I'm sure the dress. It's not everyday you get married! As long as your hubby's cool with it, you're all set.
P.S: no one else has to know that they weren't taken at the wedding!
P.P.S: I'm sure you looked pretty, so save that moment.

I think you should renew your vows or something along those lines or invite all you friends and say you are having another wedding reception. Those are the ideas i can think of. if not just wearing your guys wedding outfits is fine.
