Like Grant and dew mentioned, it is pre-conceived and the everyone knows roughly what should happen within te constraints of the matches. However some of the moves and the physical contact is more, errr, 'real'. Some of the punches, kicks and bodily impact moves may actually connect purposefully. As oppossed to say, a splash in the WWE where the originator of the move will land as much on their knees and forearms to make it look like the two bodies collided but do as much to protect themselves and the recipient from as much impact as possible. I'm tired and I've lost my thread, I may be rambling...hope I could be of some assistance.

No it is not real, but the athleticism is for real. Mexican and Japanesee wrestlers are incredible. The Americans are huge brutes, the others are smaller, faster and more high flying, like our cruiserweights. Yes it is choreographed and the outcome is pre-concieved but the abuse to the body and the strength required for those moves is very very real.

Wrestling is wrestling whether it's in Japan or Mexico or US or Canada... okay? Don't ask such an ignorant question because pro wrestlers sacrifice their bodies every night to give us our money's worth. They put up with so much, including the travel schedules, autograph sessions, so many extra things that calling it "not real" or "fake" is such a deep insult. For all those people who believe that, no one forces you to watch it, so don't say sh*t about it.
