your not going to believe this but i would go out and buy a can of Krylon poly clear coat and touch it a couple a times just to make sure it's always there cause it being there makes great resale value. stickers are like new car smell it always looks good to the people who want your ride, when your done with the ride and it go back to the show room for resale the ones with decals sell first.
see if you gotta new ride i would leave it alone tell you see that all bikes have a clear coat and your not to mess with it, wait till the first few times you go out and get the information from a brother about it, if you wait too long you can get a combination of coloring looks from it being in the sun too long and the out line will be there, so you can play it cool til some body else has the Bright idea, but for now there are allot of reasons to leave it alone and there all about keeping value, there are times when the stickers get put on and they are subject to being on too early and have left indentation in the clear coat, i painted bikes pro 68...75 there allot to be side for getting someone to tell you what the decals is stuck on with before you over do or under do it. you have a dealers way in the people you got it from they know best where your at.

Use a heat gun or a hair dryer to heat up the decal this will soften up the adheasive on the stickers and they can be pulled off. Use acetone or alchol to remove left over adheasive from bike it will not damage paint. Besure to check to see if decals are under the clear coat. some bikes like harley davidson the decals are put and then the clear coat is applied if this is the case you will not be able to remove the decals with out damageing the paint.

the easiest way to do the job without hurting the paint is to use a good hot blow dryer or heat gun.. after its warmed up the sticker should peel right off.. it may take a bit of scraping with a plastic knife or scraper.. any remaining adhesive can be removed with a little rubbing alcohol..
