The phone i want to get has Vcast Music but it isn't an mp3 player. Vcast Music costs $15 dollars a month. I was wondering can u put music on the phone without having vcast? If u don't understand please feel free to contact me. Thanx 4 ur help!

As far as I know you can only put music on your phone if it is an mp3 player which is what Vcast music is. However, the $15 a month is not just for Vcast music it is for Vcast Music, videos, internet and more. You can browse through the internet without utilizing any of your minutes that are currently on your plan which is great because it keeps your minutes from being gobbled up.
I have a Razr from Verizon which has VCast Music, video, internet, VZ Navigator, etc.
If you purchase the VCast music software from Verizon you get the CD to load it on your computer (like itunes, and other music players for your computer) the usb cable to connect your phone to your computer so you can copy your CD music to your phone as well. But again, this would be if your phone was an mp3 player. Cool thing about the VCast music, is if you download music straight from the phone, you can log onto Verizon Wireless and download that same song (once only) onto your computer if you purchase the software disk, cable, etc.

If you get the Music Essentials Kit ($29.99) then you can connect to a pc or laptop via the usb cable and upload music direct to the phone. It doesn't matter what the format (mp3, midi, wav) the software makes it compatible with the phone.

v-cast feature WAS required previously to access the music aspect, but it is no longer the case.
that means if you have v-cast music phone if your browse the gallery, then your airtime minutes (unless nights & weekends) are being used without the feature for $15.
2nd, the music essentials kit can give you the ability to convert mp3s into wma format & send them to your phone, but must have windows media 10...
