between 7 and 7 1/2 quarts. depends on how long you let it drain and if the oil cooler gets fully drained out.

OK. It will take 5 qts. 4 for the engine and 1 for the filter.
But do yourself a favor, buy a good oil filter( not a fram)
THe better the oil filter the cleaner your oil will be.

That is why the dingbats say change your oil every 3000 miles Thy put a el cheep o oilfilter that cant keep you oil cleaner any longeer then that.

Check your owners manual for the truck. It should tell you the capacity and recommended weight of oil to used. I think it's five quarts of 10-30, but I'm not really sure.

about 61/2 it'll take 7 but it'll overflow a bit.
