Most Protestants support President Bush and the war in Iraq and consider the it to be a vital part in the war on terror. There has been so much negative matter disseminated by Liberals and Democrats it would appear that support is dwindling. It is highly likely, however, that those in doubt will reconsider when they realize that we will be next if we leave all those terrorists in Iraq unmolested...

I think that I could most easily respond
to your question regarding Protestant
views on the Iraq War by reminding
you that the Iraq War is Over. It is
concluded and was well done according
to our President, Mr. George W. Bush.

The rebuilding of Iraq and the cessation
of insurgant violence continues, however.
The rebuilding effort will most likely take
five to ten more years. Termination of
violent acts by outsiders from Syria,
Lebanon, Jordan, and Iran will continue
unabated for many years to prevent the
seeds of democracy from taking root and
flourishing in the middle east. This problem
will not end until the US Government decides
to deal with the issue on a religious basis
and stamp out extremeism with the help of
the silent majority of people in the area.
Extremeism is focused in a very small number
of individuals and once clearly identified as
the true enemy of peace by the residents
themselves, those people might vanish
overnight like a bad smell.

I think there are as many varieties of Protestant as there are views of the Iraq war. I think it is impossible to say what is a particular "Protestant view" of the war. The notion that--as an earlier poster suggested--Protestants line up uniformly behind the president is absurd.
