i have children and i NEED to stop swearing but it seems i just can't! any ideas?

If they have already heard you. . . start a "swear jar."
Everytime u or someone in ur family swears put a quarter in it.
You can not just pay ur kids as if ur punishing ur-self or they wont respect u and they may even try to make u swear for money.

You could decide a punishment for every time you swear or an award for achieving a certain amount of time without swearing.

Make yourself pay a dollar everytime you swear. Or, you could develop alternative words.

tell your kids everyttime you swear you give them each a quarter. eventually you wont be able to afford to swear. you do really need to stop though. kids dont deserve to be in that kind of situation.

Think about words you can use to express frustration without being offensive or profane. Keep practicing. If you continue to have problems therapy can be helpful.

Wash your mouth out with soap! JK What my 8th grade did was everytime he would cuss or osmething he would have to igve us candy or somethin like that. So you could tell your kids that everytime you cuss in front of them you have to give or do something for them. Or... you could just not do it!

Think about whether you want your children to grow up cursing as soon as they start talking and when they get older at you and other people...If you want your child to be respectful you have to show them how to do it first. Your children does everything you do or wants to...

my mom has that problem now my little sister swears! if i were you i would pinch myself everytime i sweared.
