I wouldn't recommend it. OD units were not meant to be stored or shipped on their sides. You may not immediately damage the unit, but you could damage the unit that would shorten its life.

Yes you can, but make sure you let the AC set upright for at least 1 Hour before turning on so the oil can run back into the Compressor. Hope this helps

You can, but make sure you let it set right side up for about 24 hours before you turn it on. That will make sure all the oil has settled to the bottom of the compressor.

yes, BUT you have to let it sit upright 12-24 hours before using it

you can but when you use it again, you have to set it the right way for a few hours to let the freon settle.
