Well, why was she in such a hurry to have the sex without thinking of potential consequences?

Of course it doesn't make her a bad person! She just made a few bad decisions! If making some bad decisions makes someone a bad person, I don't know if there would be any good people left! I think a family should support a teen girl who is pregnant because she will feel alone! Tell your family that they aren't going to be able to change it, so they may as well accept it. If you love your cousin, just think of how fun it will be to play with the baby! Just tell her that you support her and love her!

bad person? NO, just misguided. If your family thinks she was a bad person, why didn't they step in and help her out. It is so easy to look at the situation after wards, and say she shouldn't have slept with him, but where were they when this was going on, why couldn't they do something before hand?
It takes a coward to talk about something that has already been done, but it takes someone with courage to stand up next to her and support her through this. She knows she has made a mistake, but needs some one to help her through this, and not people to put her down, especially her family, she will get enough of that from society.

No it don't make you a bad person. My mom is the greatest and she got pregnant with my oldest sister when she was 16. She has had a great life and she is unlike any other mother i know.
She had seven kids in all. So my oldest sister is 33 and my lil brother is 11.
You are just forced to grow up sooner when you get pregnant early on in life. But no it does not mean you are a bad person or that you will be a bad mom.

It does not make her bad but things are going to get really complicated really fast, and having a child at such a young age she will miss out on alot of things an unpregnant 16 year old gets to experience, also the "discomforts" of pregnancy are no fun either.I feel bad for your cousin but if you are going to have unprotected sex there will be consequences some that will last a lifetime.

depends on the girla nd the situation. I dont think all teen moms are bad but there are a few out there who have given us a bad name. I was 16 when I became pregnant and I finished school supported my child when on to university and got my BA in nursing so it all depends on the peron and situation. No im not with her father but I have a man who has been in her life since she was 9 months old she is 6 now!

Getting pregnant doesnt make you a bad person at any age. The only way she could be a bad person is if she neglects that baby. Other than that shes a good person especially if she raises her baby to be a descent person.

NO WAY!! I got pregnant at the age of 17. I married the father of my child. People make wrong decisions in life which doesn't make them a bad person. God choose this innocent beautiful baby for them. People make mistakes which the baby is never a mistake but sex is something you wait for till your married. Granted some people don't wait. I don't think your cousin is a bad person. She and her boyfriend just didn't think of the consequences of their actions. Just like we didn't. I will tell you I don't regret any of it, i have a beautiful little girl which i love and adore. My husbands g-aunt and uncle got pregnant at 17 and got married and just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. Tell them they don't have to get married just because they got pregnant. God works in mysterious ways. I will be praying for them.

no of course not, it happened to me as well. i'm guessing this was an accident? as long as she does the right thing by her child then she is not a bad person. it's hard being a teen mum, people make so many judgements on you (especially people who don't know you, go figure) without knowing the circumstances. people can be downright rude. physically, it's easier to give birth while ur young, though at 16 ur body is still growing. i think u should stick by ur friend, she needs u right now. ask ur parents if they know exactly what happened!!

The answer to that question depends on what kind of parent she is going to be. If she is going to be the typical irresponsible teenage parent then yes it would make her a bad person. If, on the other hand, she is willing to grow up really fast and become the kind of parent that she needs to be then that would make her a great person.
