You definitely used to but I'm not sure.

Either way it's always been illegal since you're still not paying for the music directly.

I remember this one kid I knew used his computer only for Limewire a while back and it got so messed up he had to get a new computer. I would NOT suggest using Limewire for ANYTHING. You never know what you'll get from sites like that.

Very simple. After you download 'anything' from 'anywhere', be it Limewire or whatever, BEFORE you click on it, you MUST right-click the downloaded file, then click SCAN FOR VIRUSES. Keep your virus scan up-to-date and DO THIS EVERYTIME YOU FIRST DOWNLOAD ANY FILE. If the scan is good, then you can regular click on the file to open it. Viruses can only get you if you let them. If you download blindly then you might as well throw your computer in the trash. If you scan EVERYTHING before you open it, then you will NEVER have a problem with any virus.

For the last time

NO

Just make sure you have a firewall. And if it tells you that some limewire components are bad, go download Frostwire, which doesn't get deleted by "hazard software" sweepers.
