It's not possible for things to be 50/50 all of the time even though we all think it is ideal. Responsible adults who care for eachother just do what needs to be done... no score keeping. I would agree that a lot of American marriages seem different. Our culture has changed in ways that allow men to age but not really grow up. Therefore, the women who choose to settle with them have to take charge in order to retain their sanity. I don't mean to say that there aren't women who don't grow up either... they're out there too. Now if you mean that the women are domineering, controlling and just plain b*****... I have noticed too. I am beginning to think that guys may actually be attracted to that or are just weak. Therefore, I remain single.

I believe that it should be equal!!! But It may sem like more Women do rule the roost but that is due to equal rights. Women can speak & can rule the roost. Who knows because how many women look like they rule the roost that actually are in some sort of abusive relationship In public It may look like hat but behind closed doors it could very well be the opposite. You know what I mean. But if they do it is due to the equal rights amendment. Women can and do often make as much money if not more.

LOL, i'd like to think that women rule the roost..... ;-D Actually, when i'm married, I don't want to rule my household entirely. I'd like to have it 50/50. Some couples do, others don't. I guess it just depends on the individuals involved.

I hate to say it, but I think it tends to be "men". I only say this because there are women out there that like their men in this type of role. So we are losing women to the other side.

Men are notorious for lying so majority will say they do but in actual reality, its their wives that do and have done so, quite remarkably, for some time now. no marriage is equal... not every day. one day he does sixty...she does forty. the next she does 90 he does ten. that is the way it goes. it seems women run the house more,.because women are more organized by nature... and good at juggling situations. not all women but a majority... in america
