Bananas and lettuce (also try aromatherapy) are supposed to work wonders. Take a good hard look at your life and see if there is anything bothering you, talking it through with someone will help you feel better, don't exercise or drink caffeine before you go to bed either.

Melinda you don' say whether you have problem with getting to sleep or waking up and cannot get to sleep. If is is getting to sleep have a lettuce sandwich before you got to bed or just eat lettuce..natural sedative. If the latter don't lay in bed once you awaken get up make yourself a cup of tea..yes tea and read for about an hour. Go to the loo and then get back into bed read a book for a wee while and then you will be ready to go to sleep.

Sweet dreams!

Try some of those sleep CD's. I have several with nature sounds and music. They work for me. Also some jasmine oil or lavender. Also try The Healing Garden zzztherapy lotion, bath wash and spray. It has Chamomile which also promotes sleep. Also Tea with the same ingredients. I use Sleepytime Tea by Celestial Seasonings & Sweet Dreams By Bigelow. They all help.

Lavender oil, diluted in a carrying oil, rubbed on your temples. If you have somebody to give you a neck rub, get them to use this too. You can also put some water into a burner and add a few drops of neat lavender oil to that. Close the door of the room to keep the aroma in. NEVER leave the burner going without being present and NEVER use lavender oil neat.

Try and antihistamine. Although not natural they are much less harmful than sleeping pills, and they aren't addictive. They are good for occassional use, when you really need to get some sleep. Good luck.

well if you don't want too resort to sleeping pills , I'm sure you want want to try this but I've heard cannabis is great for getting to sleep, I've heard for non smokers you can bake it in a cake. But as it is illegal I'm sure this information is useless.

Deep, slow, long breaths. Lie on your back with a pillow under your knees. Start low in your belly and imaging filling your lungs from the bottom up, then reverse. Keep away from caffeine, or limit it to mornings only.

Try doing something tiring during the day, and then doing something relaxing before you go to sleep, to take your mind off of everything, its much easier to fall asleep when relaxed.
