I don't get it?

Pickles?
If you are cooking pickles and steak together that is called Roladin... spelling ? That is where you take very thin cuts of steak and roll a pickle up in the middle of it and hold it together with a toothpic and bake it for about 25 minutes.. then take it out and pan fry with strips of bacon around it until bacon is cooked.
Yum! A nice brown gravy is nice with this as well.

Now steak all by itself is a different thing..
Its all in the cut and the marinade ... the sauce... you can get a decent steak and put it in a VH sauce or pre made marinade for at least 3 hours and it can turn out nicely.

Technical marinade... pinch or mustard powder, cajun seasoning, soya sauce-- just enough to cover each steak lightly, and olive oil and you are laughing... mix it all and let ' er sit for at least 4 hours... people will climb over the fences to see what you are cooking.

:-)
