He has 3 rings, a slam dunk title, and an 81 pt game with 8. I say he should have kept it.

Kobe and the 8 are like "Peanut butter and jelly" always stuck together. I can't believe its over. This year whatever number he wears that number will be lucky to be worn.

I would say yes to your question but again he has his own reasons why he wants to change his number and who are we to stop him. I will ALWAYS like him no matter what number he wears cause a number is just a number what matter is what he brings to the court. Other reason i would say yes is because it is going to look kind of weird seeing him in 24 instead of 8 but it is all good as long as he stays KOBE BRYANT.

Who cares what his number is. It's not about the number on the jersey, it's about the performance of the player on the court. He could be any number for all anyone should care as long as he continues his high level of play.

Why are people making such a big deal about whether he's #8 or #24? It's not the least bit important. Get over it, please!

Kobe needs a new number. I'm glad he has it. Although a lot of great things happened to him with 8, some not so great things too. His rape trial, his run in with shaq, his run in with karl malone, his run in with phil jackson. The fact is, most people think that he's a concited jerk. Although i personally can't stand him, i think a new number could possibly lead to a new image, one that he desperately needs.

I think he should have kept 8. That's how old he acted on the court.

It doesn't matter what jersey number someone has. Unless you has the Jersey were has number 8 on it then you can't wear it until he retires without looking like a loser.

what does that have to do with anything.

24 is a GREAT number for him..
it represents how many time he shoots before heh passes. and then number of wins his team will most likely get as he is a ball hog. it is also the number of times per month that he cheats on his wife....

who cares about the number i think he should start his own league.......with ron artest, barry bonds, terrel owens and any other "professional" sports player who has disgraced their league then they can ***** to each other about how much money they dont make, why they need performance enhancing drugs and why they cant get along with the other members of there teams...
