in soccer, which is better zone or man to man ?

From a defensive standpoint I would say zone, because when you are trying to contain Zidane, Eto'o or Henry they can easily pass one defender.
-If you are playing zone others can help cover areas and help with overlapping coverage.

Zone play means a team will cover certain areas, whereas man to man requires one defender assigned to one forward/midfielder.

i say with zone you can play openly, but with man to man yoyu can't it involve strenth and tatic, i prefered zone.
