This behavior is nothing new, I would venture to say that there have been gay people on this planet as long as there have been straight people. If every gay person who has ever lived produced offspring, the world may have gotten to a point where it was so overcrowded that life could not be sustained.

That's actually an interesting theory, but I think I've heard it somewhere before. *shrug* Who knows... I hear a lot of stuff. Some of it even in my head, but we're not here to talk about my delusions. hehehe
The only problem with the theory is with the exception of ancient cultures and modern day, homosexual relationships haven't been allowed to remain monogamous. And very few of the ancient cultures allowed it. Most were allowed to keep a mate (sometimes more than one) of the same sex, but also had to marry others to allow for reproduction of the tribe/community/what have you.
I think modern day is the only time you see monogamous relationships between people of the same sex. Of course, any one can feel free to correct me. I may just not know and am more than willing to learn.

Kevin, my chum: "encouraging homosexuality" means that our sexual orientation is a call, and that i don't have self belief that the two you or i've got self belief that to be the case. that's between the excuses why i'm indignant by skill of the term "sexual selection." Frankly, in some places the place there is overpopulation, i think of it a reliable concept to inspire ALL couples --- heterosexual to boot as gay --- to undertake infants that are already right here, and undesirable.

I guess you make a point, but I don't really believe thats why there are gay people in the world. If you are going to argue that, then you could assume it for all sorts of things, like murderers, abortions, disease, etc. Interesting question though.

Well, I've never thought about it that way, but I'm lovin' the idea! I remember my fiancee's doctor wanting to give her a pregnancy test when she gained 25 pounds in a month. We thought it was freakin' hysterical! You're right, the world is already overpopulated, we don't need to make it any worse.

no. Homosexuality is not served to control population. this is just utter bull. the overpopulation is due to because people can't learn to close their legs for once. probably because some religion told them that we're under populated. horese. Sexuality is all about love. hate comes from the mind.
