i haven't watched the news for years now. networks are to biased and will report only want they want you to hear or know. they sensationalize some stories and ignore others. for example, while i admit that poor Jon-Benet Ramsey's murder was a horrible thing, did it actually warrant all that national attention for so long? what about the hundreds of other children that were killed kidnapped and mistreated that didn't even get mentioned. is it because they weren't pretty little white girls that would make for good ratings or a made for TV movie? there are many more examples, but this is straw that caused me to turn the news off at my house.

Love the news. Put it on in the morning when I'm working around the house. Also read the newspaper everday and get news off the internet. I need it.

Not anymore, no. For one, not much on the news is actually news anymore. For instance:

"Violence in the Middle East today." is not news.
It would be news if they reported one day out of the year where there wasn't.

Not only that, but the rest of the news is either depressing and entirely unneccessary for me to know or just as ridiculously redundant as "Violence in the Middle East today."

I don't bother with it anymore. It either disgusts me, depresses me or wastes my time because my personal knowledge to that effect serves no purpose.

No, it's bad for your brain. Be careful what you hear and watch from the media and the news stations. Usually it is incorrect. I only trust newspapers and some "big-time" Internet sites that have no biasm in their articles.

I do not always watch the news-but, sometimes the local news and CNN.

But, I do read daily (Net and e-mailed to me)THE WASHINGTON POST, THE BBC NEWS, AL-JAZEERA, and THE JERUSALEM POST, or one of the other Israeli newspapers.

Must admit, I am not as good at it in the summertime, but, winter is coming again.
