I am interested, however my understanding is that most of them are only intersted in citizenship here in the USA....is this true ?

Yes, this is true but it does not mean that you cannot find a good decent attractive woman who will marry you and love you and be a good loyal wife...

Speaking from experience I can tell you that they aren't all interested in citizenship but your chances are definitely better if you actually make the effort to go abroad and spend the time to get to know her first. Right now I'm working on bringing my Kazakh girlfriend over to the US and I can honestly say that she's interested in our relationship and not in using a visa to gain US citizenship. We dated for six months before I had to return to the US and that's how I can tell where she's coming from. When I lived abroad I met women of all kinds and got a view of them that I just wouldn't have obtained by going through an international dating agency. So if you're interested in finding a good woman abroad make an effort to learn more about her language and culture before spending some time with her; it's more work but it'll definitely pay off in the long run.

I think they may be true. A while back, I was on Match.com. I had a regular profile, nothing in particular saying "I'm looking for Russian Girls." Yet, most of the girls who wrote me were from Russia. I had no idea why until I saw that episode of dateline the other poster mentioned. I'd be careful, that's all I can say. You never know what a woman's intentions are, especially if she is from overseas and you can't spend much time with her, on a day to day basis, to really get to know her better.

Probably some of them, but not most. Most of them just want to find a caring and loving husband, and not only in USA, but for example in France, or Germany, too. One problem in Russia is that many men have alcohol problems, and they hope that a westerner man would be better.

Yes, most of them do want to come here for a green card...and the other thing can happen too, I know 2 women , one from russia, and one from estonia, who were"abandoned" by their american husbands and left homeless. The estonian girl was only 20 :(. My Ex husband was interested in a foreign girl, that he met through an"agency" and they wrote for over a year...but when she found out he basically had no money, she dropped him like a stone. I'm not saying its not something you wouldn't want to do, your life is your life ...but remember,these are girls who will "marry" the first guy that writes to them, it could be you, or anyone who submits information to those agencies, some of the women write to more than one guy while they are there too, it probly just doesn't matter to them.

Did you watch the dateline episode ? yes i am afraid that ,that is all they are after and once they get it they divorce that person and they can stay in this country forever if they want to.
