warmth causes things to expand, so i don't think it'll be doing it any favors, then again neither will the cold, i imagine it would lead to having to re-tune and possibly replace strings more frequently. I keep mine away from any possible extremes in temperature, wouldn't want to risk hurting my baby.

A car is a bad place as it gets very warm, humid, and cold. This will warp the body of it and made it out of tune. I was travelling with my guitar in a hard shell case and went on an airplane and because it got too cold it cracked.
So be careful!

I think it may depend on how long and how hot, when I was in Cali. I had a guitar in the car alot of the time, Yamaha acoustic and it still plays fine, and I havent been in Cali. since 98' high altitudes is a different story, dont forget to loosen strings, a friend learned a hard lesson with an ovation, cracked right don the center. Bring it out more and play as often as you can!
Peace

Well Its not good for it at no means. You need to take it in side with you cause for one the heat does not help it any and second
you never know who might just want a guitar. Someone just might steel it

If it's hot inside the car, the guitar could warp. Better not risk it.
