are pensioners greedy or do they really deserve to have everything given to them on a plate, when the rest of the country is struggling to make ends meet.
and am i the only 1 that is sick of the pensioners saying that they fought in the war, so what my sons dad served his time in the 1st gulf war, and does he get the recongition for it NO. everytime you get on a bus with your children they expect you to get your children to give up their seats for them, why should they ive paid for their seat, so they should sit on it, pensioners get on the bus for free, it costs for small fortune everytime i go into town with my kids. and i aint on a high income so why should my kids be made to pay more than pensioners. after all they havent had the chance yet to earn a living!!!!

i am not saying all pensioners are greedy just that you find SOME are, and i do show respect to them as i was told by my parents that respect is something you earn and to give respect you should get respect back, and only some pensioners dont give respect back is what i mean.

Youre right, and as for them complaining about being hard up all the time, a lot of them get more than I earn in a month. Some of them are getting £200 a week of a pension, plus they dont have to pay rent or council tax and they get a £200 winter fuel allowance on top! I'm not saying that this is all pensioners but it covers a lot of them.
As for this fighting in the war nonsense, most of the pensioners I have known that come out with that line would have been little more than children when the war was on so they are talking rubbish.

World War II ended in 1945 which is 61 years ago. So to have actually fought in the war that Pensioner would now have to be at least 80 years old. Although a good many of the 'Old Soldiers' are still around, not too many will be able to travel on public transport which so obviously annoys you and your children. The majority of the present Pensioners were children during the period 1939 to 1945 and were more likely to have lived through the terror of the wartime bombing and sleeping many nights in cold dark air raid shelters. They would not have had the luxury of travel on what public transport there was and in most cases would have to WALK to school. Youngsters then were always taught to be polite by their parents,- usually the Mother because the Father was away from home serving in the Military, and the children were much respected for doing so. The was NO child allowance benefits in those days to help the parents, who would have to walk with the children for long distances to save money for whatever food was available - - ON RATION. You should not generalise and complain about ALL pensioners because perhaps the odd one may have upset you . . .it is surely not setting a good standard for your own children to witness. The elderly person or persons who caused you this upset may well be ill, or suffering from some form of age senility. They may be lonely having had their partner die. We will all be in that situation one day - "Have a Heart" Good Luck

Have some dam respect. asylum seekers get things handed on a plate too, and dam right I always give up my seat on the bus or tube for pensioners there legs are much older than mine, and your children's. Kids also go on the bus for free at least pensioners have worked all there life for it. How would you feel if your 70yr old mum or dad were made to stand up for a 30 minute journey with aching legs and shopping bags, whilst some little brats took up chairs. You have a bad attitude, I hope when you are in your 70s nobody does anything for you.

HEIL HITLER!!! Did you salute? No you bloody didn't! Know why? Our current pensioners fought in the most important battle of wills this World has ever seen so that ingrates like you get to enjoy the freedom of speech and multicultural society that we all now enjoy. Have some respect for goodness' sake. When you're old, what will you tell the youngsters of that time you did? Bitched about this country's heroes?

I spose they know more on life and i respect them in someways, but there are times that i think why do they have all the privelage. Such as our local commuinity meetings is full of pensioners, and they make all the desisions for the village. such as 1920 films at the cinema AAHHHH. I will proberly be that greedy when im older anyway.

Those pensioners stopped Britain from being taken over by Germany,so show some respect. I'd love to know how you treat your grandparents!
