Or is it just me? Does this ever cause confusion?

While it is nice to have some anonymity on the Internet, you should be honest when disscussing your age, gender, marital status, and specific gender preference no matter what alias or icon you use.
That way it will hopefully cut down on unwanted conversations, if you knwo what I mean.
The only reasons I have the icon I do is:
a. I feel it is an honest representation of myself
b. I do not have a digital camera nor an e-account to post/support a more accurate icon.

It depends on the character and on the body parts being used. For Rogue, Mystique, and Archlight, from X-Men anything seemed to go.
