It's not gross - quite the opposite, you remove the hair that bacteria attaches itself to, and your armpits become easier to clean
And it doesn't become thicker, that's just a common myth

I have two sisters who shave their arms, and since they've started it, they've had to shave them atleast every other day, now.. I'm sure they have "Regrets" of ever starting doing it, by now. I've thought about doing it, before, but, the thought left, as soon as I thought about all of the shaving I already do enough of.. My gosh us women, not only have to shave our legs, everyday, if not every other day, then some women have to shave the hair panty-line, plus our armpits, my gosh even some women have to shave their mustache's !! As if we already dont have enough to shave!! Forget shaving my arms!! Thank-God, my arm hair is very little, and blonde, so you cant hardly see it anyway!! I feel sorry for those who have started doing it.. You really cant tell much, either way.. So, might as well save some "Stress" levels, and just "Opt" not to do it at all, you know what I mean? Smile...

What about women who already have thick arm hair and don't like it? Nothing wrong with shaving it if it prevents people from teasing the woman about how "masculine" she's looking. Plus if a woman is hairy, think how smelly the sweat is....

i don't think its gross - i think its nice to have smooth arms - i have quite a lot of hair on my arms and i shave them everytime i shower they stay smooth and i dont think hair grows back thicker. i dont have the patience for re-growth before u can wax it. so shaving works fine for me. my bf hasn't complained about them being stubbly

i shave my arms. the only reason is because before i started shaving my arm hair was dark and a guy pointed out that i should shave them so i did. it helped my confidence too, because i would always try to hide my arms so ppl wouldnt see the hair and now i dont have to worry about it.

I have a friend who is very phobic about hair and gets her arms waxed. I gues there's nothing wrong with shaving, but it's going to grow back and be stubbly

Body builders do it, but I do think it is gross...bodybuilders are gross. If your arms are terribly hairy, maybe waxing would be better.

I don't really think that's true... I've heard that people just THINK hair grows back faster than it actually does when they shave it off. *shrugs* Anyways, if you don't want smooth arms, then don't do it.
