It's called "It's OK as long as we don't lose a Republican seat in congress" All things are fair in love and politics. If they could only have kept it a secret one more month, Jeb Bush could appoint another Republican. I'm sure this is not the first incident of a Republican propositioning, and who knows what, a teenage congressional page, or worst. Note that the last link quotes Fox News Network as defending Foley's pedophilia, I would not have expected less from The Fox News Network.

With an election coming up in just a few weeks, they knew they might be able to retain the seat if he wasn't exposed for being a pedophile. Now, they're in big trouble. Time for someone to dig a little deeper into some of the Republipukes secrets - probably find some mother rapers and father rapers in there as well.

Of course, they're going to protect "one of their own" as long as they can (ie... until there is some actual proof)

It goes back to a famous quote about politics "never get caught in bed with a dead woman or a live boy"

Well the GOP didn't want a bunch of short bus riding Democrats sniffing around the poor boy and trying to drag him off to Barney Frank's fun room...

They were hiding it long enough to get in touch with their local chapter of the A.C.L.U since they love defending pedophiles.
