Statistically speaking, more teachers molest students, than priests molest children.
To answer your question:
How DARE you talk bad about teachers! They're perfect! If they want to molest our children, or teach them opinion instead of fact, they should be able to do so, and you'd better pay them for it!
There are good teachers, yes, I had several throughout my time in school, but there are also many bad ones. Most of the ones I had were more intent on indoctrinating us, rather than teaching us.
There is only one reason I can think of for it: The ACLU. They protect teachers as if they're holy. Ridiculous, isn't it?

The problem is that a lot of pedophiles go undetected for a long time but if/when a pedophile that happens to be a teacher is found then he/she will loose their job and maybe a news story (at least locally)

Why are pedophiles like the big concern lately? Do you know most kids are abused by there own family members? It just seems like there are much more pertenant things to worrie about i.e. Iraq, poverty, health care, drug abuse etc. Your more likely to get struck be lightning than to be "molested" by a random stranger. Why do people treat phedophile diffrently from rapeists? Should we make laws that rapests can't live whithin a 100ft of a woman?

the media only cares about thier ratings. If the techer doesn't look like a model then don't plan on seeing it on the news

Teachers unions and the NEA are in the pocket of the dems. The media, (the people talking about it) are also in the pocket of the dems.
