I heard that the 2-stroke require more maintence and upkeep. Don't last as long as the 4-stroke, but have more pep and starting power. Also what are the best brands with the least amount problems.

buy 4-stroke bike but i have 2 yamaha bikes both r 2-stroke
2-stroke bikes really have a good pickup but need maintainence than 4-stroke bike.i also have a 4-stroke but i love my 2-stroke because of power.

Actually, the 2 stroke engines require less maintenance. There is no oil to change, because it is mixed with the fuel and burned. I have owned and repaired many 2 stroke dirt bikes and a few mopeds, and they are much less troublesome than most people think.. I would advise you to look into Yamaha for a scooter. All of the Yamaha products I have been around have been awesome for longevity and durability.
Another thing about 2 strokes- they have much more power for their size as compared with a 4 stroke of the same displacement.
