I am 15 years old and I have no hobbies. I want something that I can get into when I am bored and have nothing to do.

Many hospitals have programs where they give away hats to cancer patients. They are always needing more. You can Google for cancer hat patterns or chem cap patterns; these sites are free. Some are for sewing, others are for knitting, still others are for crocheting. If you pick one of these as a hobby, this would give you a place to give your work away. I always like that part best.

What hobbies do your parents, grandparents, and/or siblings have? Interests ofttimes run in families. Would any of them be willing and able to teach you? Do you have friends that could help you get started?

If you have never tried to work with polymer clay, try it and I promise, you will never be bored. You can find it as well as some very informative books on getting started at your local craft store such as Michael's or Hobby Lobby. It can be baked in your home oven and the uses are almost limitless. If this isn't your thing, maybe learning to sew would be of interest to you. It takes concentration and dedication but you can learn the basics from books and take classes later to learn the finer points and soon you will be able to make your own clothes much cheaper than you can buy them.

You are a little thing yet (I'm 44) but it's good of you to want to do something. You could try learning to knit or chocet, you could piece quilts or lap robes (many hospitals need them). Beadwork is very trendy now and it's something you can do for your lifetime. Making jewelry is expensively fun....although a lot of beads are reasonable. It's when you get into the gemstones it gets $$. I do pyrography (wood burning) and have done so since I was 12. Good luck!

Photography and scrapbooking will be an awesome opportunity to give you something to do while at the same time giving you memories that you can look at years from now. Some of my best scrapbooks are from high school. You don't have to be perfect and there really aren't any rules to follow, you just take pictures of stuff that interests you and make pages that you like.

Art is my favorite hobby. But if you're going for something active I'd say swimming or running or just occasionally walking around the neighborhood.

Go to an Arts- and Crafts store and get yourself some tools, and beads and start making your own jewelry, it's really easy. Some of these stores have classes on it.

If coins and currency interest you then definitely try your hand at COIN COLLECTING.... I started when I was only 11 and amassed a vast collection at only purchasing about half.... the rest I have found or traded for.

Photography is great to,,, it lets the creative artist in you come alive !
