Stereotypes are based on truth about a larger percentage of that group. It is wrong to judge an individual by the stereotype of the group.

Back in the 1960s, David Steinberg had a joke about Liberals being people who refused to believe that there were any:
Blacks who had rhythm
Poles who were stupid
Irish who were drunks
Jews who were good with money
