It depends on your usage usage and your battery size.. but generally yes. Try to get another battery as a spare. The higher its mAh value the more power it can store. And use an AC outlet whenever possible.

No, this is not normal. Your battery is DYING. You need to purchase another battery. Most laptop makes are proprietary so your best bet is to go to the manufacturers web site.

not for my computer, an ibook g4. It charges faster than it can drain. When the cord was broken though, it charged less faster but still faster than it could drain.
